United Rentals is the foundation of Bradley Jacobs who back then decided to grow the business through acquisition. After acquiring U.S. Rentals, Inc., it was listed as the largest equipment rental company in North America. It was also featured on Fortune 500. United leaped forward and grabbed a leading position after launching its B2B web site: E-Rental Store, where customers can rent / buy equipments on a 24-hour basis, all year round. It is headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut.
