Tween Brands History
Limited Too was founded by The Limited, Inc. in 1987 that aimed at providing younger girls with fashionable garments and accessories. In a few years, it grew and reached a total of 288 different retail locations. Its headquarters are situated in New Albany, Ohio, USA. To Inc. started the first Justice: Just for Girls stores, a value-priced brand in the year 2004. In 2006, Too Inc. changed its name to Tween Brands, Inc. which was later listed on the NYSE. In 2009, Ascena Retail Group bought Tween Brands, Inc. Afterwards, it started Brothers clothing for boys that were sold online only. Limited Too, Justice and the Ascena Retail Group, Inc. merged altogether becoming a leading national retailer of apparel for women and tween girls.
