Stryker was founded in the year 1941. The company has been operational for almost more than 77 years now. The founder of the company was Dr Homer Stryker. The former name of the company was The Orthopedic Frame. The company started its operations by manufacturing hospital beds that are mobile and would allow re-positioning of the patients as well. In the year 1964, the name of the company was changed to Stryker Corporation.
