Mountaire Farms History
Mountaire Farms was founded in the year 1914. The company has been active for almost 105 years now. The founder of the company was Guy Cameron. The son of the company’s founder, known as Ted Cameron, built four feed mills in the 1950s to serve local growers. In the year 1959, the company started processing chickens, with Mountaire Poultry incorporated in the year 1964 as well. The company was then incorporated as Mountaire Corporation in the year 1971. Ron Cameron, who was the son of Ted Cameron, became President and CEO of the company in the year 1975.
