KPMG was founded in the year 1987. The company has been active for almost 32 years now. The founders of the company were James Marwick and William Barclay Peat. The company has its origins back in the year 1818, as John Moxham & Company, which was founded by John Moxham. Then in the year 1857, the company was bought over by James Grace and James Grace Jr and renamed it to James Grace & Son. Then in the year 1861, Henry Grace had joined the company, and the company was again renamed to James & Henry Grace, which was again later changed to Grace, Ryland & Company.
