Aflac History
Alfac was founded in the year 1955. The company has been active for almost 63 years now. The founders of the company were Bill Amos, John Amos and Paul Amos. The former name of the company was American Family Life Insurance Company of Columbus. In the year 1964, the name of the company was changed to American Family Life Assurance Company of Columbus. In the year 1990, the company had adopted the Aflac acronym even though the official name of the company was American Family Life Assurance Company of Columbus. The company had announced the appointment of the company’s new CFO as well as the executive vice president as well, known as Frederick J Crawford, in the year 2015.
